About me
My love of photography started with an old school Nikon SLR film camera I received in the 90s. I adored the process of creating an image – the attention to settings and lighting; the anticipation of seeing your final developed photos… But it took a while to get here, professionally. After I received my BFA in graphic design, I worked as a designer for several agencies and corporations, between 2006 and 2014. It’s funny how you can come full-circle – back to one of your earliest dreams. My dream was and always will be photography.
I’m the owner of CommonSpace Studio, and the author/illustrator of a children’s theology series, Little Theologian Books. When I’m not shooting, writing, or running three businesses, I’m home with my four sweet boys and husband on our acreage, out at the lake, or hauling our camper cross-country. Shoutout to my husband, who is a huge reason these dreams of mine have become reality – he’s the left to my right brain, and just makes everything WORK! Jesus Christ is Lord! As often as I fail Him (daily), He is refining me, for His purpose. Soli Deo gloria!
