Chelsea called me a little before 2am, to let me know they were headed to the hospital. Having barely made it for their last baby (his head was out when I walked in the room!), I knew I had very little time …
Chelsea was already in the tub quietly working thru her contractions. Her finger tapping angrily on the tub’s edge served as one of the only indications that she was close to pushing.
I perched awkwardly on a ledge – a bird-eye-view.
Then, in a blink, SHE was here. Their first baby girl {after FOUR boys!}. My view might have let me be the first to notice, but I held my tongue, til the nurse announced it. Huge grins broke out around the room.
Chelsea asked Joseph “what does it feel like to have a little girl” …
“I don’t know yet!” he laughed.
What a morning!

Such a beautiful baby and I’m sure this little girl will be loved and watched over by each of you in your wonderful family. Four wonderful big brothers to carefully watch over her while Mom and Dad will guide her along the way. We’re so happy for all of you and so proud of you Chels for once again carrying through so proudly on your pregnancy. We’re sending love and best wishes to each of you in your wonderful family!
